复合动词是以一个动词为主体，在它的前面加上一个词（通常加名词、形容词和副词），用连字符或不用连字符构成的动词。
例：Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is road testing a new way to keep winter roads ice-free…（2020年高考浙江1月卷阅读理解B篇）
road test为复合动词，意为“在道路上测试”，也可引申为“（各种）试用”，如：
The company may offer free samples of its skincare products so you can road test them. 这家公司可能会送出化妆品样品，这样你就可以试用一下。（剑桥词典）
live stream（直播）和password protect（设置密码保护）也是两个常用的复合动词，如：
- My brother live streams himself playing games. 我弟弟直播自己玩游戏。
- You’d better password protect your files in the computer which contain important data. 你最好在电脑上设置密码保护那些含有重要数据的文件。
